Community Options, Inc. in North Dakota offers an array of services tailored to meet the individual needs of children and families—learn more about how they can serve you!

Community Options, Inc. in North Dakota offers an array of services tailored to meet the individual needs of children and families. Through a person-centered approach, the organization extends support to individuals and their families, helping them to live independently and actively engage in their communities.

Family Services

  • The Family Check-Up intervention targets families with children aged 2 to 17.
  • Aims to promote positive family management and address child and adolescent adjustment issues through an initial assessment, feedback, and parent management training.

Targeted Case Management (TCM)

  • TCM provides supportive services to individuals with Medicaid. The services are for adults with a serious mental illness, or children with a serious emotional disturbance.

Free Through Recovery (FTR)

  • A community-based behavioral health program extending recovery support services to individuals involved with the criminal justice system having behavioral health concerns.


LIHEAP application support

  • LIHEAP is a low-income home energy assistance program that will help qualifying families with their heating costs. If approved, 5-95% of a heat source can be covered. This runs Oct to May 31. Community Options does not determine people’s eligibility, but they are able to help with the application which can provide significant financial relief.

ND Housing Stability

  • NDRH Housing Stabilization’s focus is helping households experiencing homelessness find long-term stable housing. Once applicants are housed NDRH will assist with three months of rent. During this time, the applicant will receive assistance with additional resources around the state to assist with housing and financial needs.

NDWorks

  • Helps individuals overcome barriers, gain skills or experience, and participate in supervised job search activities to improve their employment prospects and reduce reliance on SNAP benefits.

Through these free services and programs, Community Options, Inc. is committed to serving those facing financial hardships, substance abuse, and mental health issues. If you feel like you could benefit from these programs, call 701-223-2417 to speak with a dedicated referral coordinator from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
