What started as a creative experiment on Facebook has grown into a licensed business producing unique collectibles for sports fans, wedding parties, graduates, and more.
The Mini Posters
McCarty’s journey began two years ago when he started designing custom mini posters for friends and families. Kids, wedding parties, and graduates were among his earliest “clients.” But the idea quickly evolved into something bigger.
Today, those posters range from custom designs for families to officially licensed products featuring teams like North Dakota State University and the University of Minnesota.
Licensed And Local
In 2023, McCarty landed licensing deals with the Bison and Gophers—an exciting leap for a small business owner who grew up critiquing uninspired designs.
“I noticed that everything out there in the collectible space was boring,” he said. “So I’m trying to fix that.”
McCarty’s long-term dream? To secure a professional license and bring the same energy to big-league sports.
Custom Keepsakes For Families
While sports licensing drives much of his work, McCarty is quick to point out that MCM Graphics is just as much about families as it is about fans.
Recent projects have included wedding party sets, graduation gifts, and even pet memorials. “We’re really trying to encapsulate memories,” he said. “Your kid’s first game, a big milestone, or a photo you love—we can turn that into something that’ll last forever and stand out.”
Parents, in particular, love the ability to create one-of-a-kind keepsakes. Options include:

What's Next
Looking ahead, McCarty is focused on securing more licensing agreements and refining his production.
