Detroit Mountain Recreation Area partners with Hope Inc. to help ensure individuals with disabilities can fully participate in winter recreation. Through this partnership, Detroit Mountain provides free ski tickets to all Hope Inc. participants, as well as complimentary access for the volunteers who accompany and support them on the slopes. This collaboration removes financial barriers while creating a welcoming, inclusive environment where participants can experience the joy, confidence, and freedom that come with outdoor recreation.

The Detroit Lakes Nordic Ski Club
The Partnership: Youth Development & Outdoor Access
Detroit Mountain Recreation Area partners closely with the Detroit Lakes Nordic Ski Club, a not-forprofit community club dedicated to expanding access to Nordic skiing. Through this collaboration, the Nordic Ski Club has use of Detroit Mountain’s lodge space and Nordic ski trails at no cost, allowing the club to host practices, events, and gatherings without financial strain. The partnership also provides free trail access for club members, including the Detroit Lakes High School Nordic ski team, supporting youth development, athletic growth, and lifelong engagement in outdoor recreation.
