Inside the Hulbert Children's Center

At Valley Christian Counseling & Wellness's new Hulbert Children's Center, helping a child grow might involve a climbing wall, a therapeutic swing, or learning to make a bed. Each offers a different opportunity to build skills and confidence in a space designed around children's needs.

Opened in 2026 in Fargo's former Chuck E. Cheese building, the center reflects Valley's commitment to caring for the whole child, body, mind, and spirit. A therapy gym provides room for movement and exploration, while a simulated life-skills apartment allows children to practice everyday tasks, including folding laundry and making a bed, in a supportive environment. Play therapy rooms offer additional opportunities for connection and growth.

A Place for Parents to Recharge

Parents have a place to recharge, too. The Still Waters Parent Lounge includes massage chairs. Alongside family-friendly waiting areas, these features reinforce an important part of Valley's approach of caring for children also means considering the needs of their caregivers.

Care Rooted in Faith

As a nonprofit ministry, Valley combines Biblical principles with professional therapies. Its mission is to help people become more fully alive, with support that extends beyond childhood to individuals, couples, and families. The goal is a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where people can express concerns, learn coping skills, and pursue emotional, physical, relational, and spiritual well-being.
